Connector

Connector adalah kata penghubung yang berfungsi untuk menyambungkan 2 buah kalimat menjadi sebuah kalimat utuh.

Connectors dibagi 3 :

1. Menunjukkan waktu : as soon as, after, before, while, When

Contoh kalimat :

·         I must study hard, as soon as i still alive

·         We went home after the rain stopped.

·         My Friend went to Bali After he got long holiday

·         He get bad score before he study hard

·         While he playing basketball by himself, his girlfriend accompany to playing basketball togetherI go to campus, when may friend still in his home

2. Menunjukkan Sebab – Akibat : since, beacause/because of

Contoh kalimat :

·         I feel enjoy, since my friend become more friendly to me

·         I went to the hospital because of my serious accident.

·         Tara have a lot of money, because she always work everday.

·         Tara have a lot of money, because of her alwasys work everday.

3. Menunjukan Urutan : After that, Finally, next, then

Contoh kalimat :

·         I swimming in world competition and match with other swimmer in the world,Finally i got gold medal

·         After that, he become more diligent and clever

·         He eat fried rice, after that he drink ice lemon tea

·         Next, she boil water and insert noodle into pan

Relative Clause

Relative clause merupakan klausa dependen yang berfungsi menerangkan kata benda sehingga didapat informasi yang jelas mengenai benda tersebut. Untuk menghubungkan antar klausa digunakan kata penghubung seperti, that, which, who, whom, dan whose.

Contoh Kalimat :

·         The man whom we met is my father's friend

·         The woman who wears the red dress is my aunt

·         The Husband has great wife (klausa pertama)

·         Wife always Support him to be better (klausa kedua)

·         The husband has great wife who always support him to be better (klausa pertama dan kedua digabung)

Adjective (kata sifat) adalah kata yang menerangkan kata benda (baik berupa orang atau sesuatu). Penggunaan adjective biasanya sebelum kata orang atau benda.

Contoh :

·         He speaks perfect english (menerangkan pintar berbahasa inggris)

·         He is very friendly (menerangkan sangat ramah/bersahabat)

·         He is as great as you in fishing (menerangkan hebat memancing)

Adverb (kata keterangan) adalah kata yang menerangkan "verb" (kata kerja). Kata yang menerangkan bagaimana seseorang melakukan sesuatu atau bagaimana sesuatu itu terjadi.

Contoh :

·          John drove carefully along the narrow road (menerangkan mengendarai dengan sangat hati-hati)

·         He speaks english perfectly (menerangkan berbahasa inggris dengan baik)

·         The Fisherman fishing bravely (menerangkan berani memancing)
